Ai-Ai delas Alas spoke about her estranged husband
Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas was able to prove that her estranged husband Gerald Sibayan cheated on her.
In November last year, Ai-Ai confirmed her breakup with Gerald after 10 years of being together. She revealed that Gerald broke up with her through a text message.
Speculations surfaced that Gerald has a mistress and this was mentioned by social media personality Xian Gaza in his post. He accused Gerald of having a girlfriend who was already pregnant. His post received a reply from Ai-Ai.
Just recently, netizens talked about the cryptic post that the Kapuso comedienne shared about a cheater and a mistress. In an interview with PEP, Ai-Ai delas Alas found proof that Gerald Sibayana cheated on her.
She said that it hurt her but she was happy that this was not just a speculation anymore. “Masakit nang kaunti pero masaya ako dahil valid pala ang lahat ng mga nararamdaman ko tungkol kay Gerald, hindi tamang hinala lang. Hindi ako nagha-hallucinate,” she said.
Some Filipinos in America shared with Ai-Ai that they saw Gerald with a woman and they were holding each other’s hand. These sightings happened in March 2024 and June 2024 in San Francisco, California.
Instead of feeling the pain because of this revelation, Ai-Ai said that she was thankful to the people who told her about this. It is because this helped her in her process of moving on. The comedienne shared that she already had a feeling before that her estranged husband was not being faithful to her.
“Wala pala talaga akong dapat panghinayangan dahil napagtagpi-tagpi ko ang mga insidenteng nagpapatunay na may babae siya. Dalawang beses niya akong tinawag na ‘Bhe,’ e, ‘Darl’ ang tawagan namin,” she shared.
Ai-Ai also shared that there was a time when Gerald called her by a different name that she had already forgotten. She said that Gerald insisted that it was “Darl.”
There was also an instance when she woke at 7 AM and she heard Gerald speaking in English. When she asked him who she was talking to, he said that he was just watching TV and that was what she heard.
“Nagtataka ako noon pero hindi ko masyadong pinapansin. Pero nang hiwalayan niya ako, saka ko napagdugtung-dugtong ang mga insidente. Tama pala ang pakiramdam at ang nararamdaman ko sa kanya, hindi tamang hinala,” the comedienne said.
Ai-Ai delas Alas added that she felt that Gerald Sibayan really planned to be in the US. The latter applied for a green card and the comedienne supported him with this.
In her Instagram post, she shared some details of the “cheating” that happened and that the mistress was a Filipina.
