Small Laude and Philip Laude’s relationship faced controversy last year
Businessman Philip Laude, the husband of socialite-vlogger Small Laude, filed a petition for writ of habeas data against Mae Larra Sumicad, also known as Precious Larra Su.
The filing of the petition happened a month after alleged screenshots of Philip and Precious’ private conversation supposedly suggesting a romantic relationship between them circulated online.
Several speculations after that surfaced on social media. Allegedly, Small already knew about her husband’s alleged “mistress.” The name of beauty queen MJ Lastimosa was also dragged into the “kabit” rumor which she strongly denied.
Amid this issue, the popular socialite-vlogger and her family remained silent. However, a month after the issue started circulating, her husband had a strong response.
On January 16, reports circulated that Small Laude’s husband took this matter to the court. Philip Laude filed a petition for writ of habeas data against Precious Larra. Based on the article in Abogado.com, Philip filed the petition before the Pasig City Regional Trial Court, San Juan Station against Precious Larra and all other persons acting for and on her behalf, and this took place last week.
Writ of habeas data protects a person’s right to informational privacy. It is filed to ask for the suppression or correction of information or files. The court ordered Precious Larra to file her verified return to Laude’s petition with supporting affidavits that contain her lawful defenses.
Precious Larra should also disclose the nature of the data and the purpose of their collection if she is in possession or control of the data subject of the petition. She should also disclose the steps or actions done to ensure their security and confidentiality, and the accuracy of the data.
As of this writing, Small Laude and Philip Laude haven’t released yet a statement about this.
