Filmmaker Darryl Yap Speaks on Pepsi Paloma Teaser after Vic Sotto Filed Case
DARRYL YAP – The controversial director behind the Pepsi Paloma movie claimed that all his contents are allegedly documented.
The teaser of the upcoming Pepsi Paloma movie earned different reactions. It scratched a very controversial issue that accused three (3) known personalities in the Philippine entertainment industry decades ago.
The names of Eat Bulaga! bosses Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon as well as the name of the late actor Richie D’Horsie were dragged into the issue. However, in the teaser of the upcoming film, the name of Vic Sotto was highlighted with a grave accusation.
Countless people wondered and asked about the reaction of bossing regarding the Pepsi Paloma movie teaser that hooked the attention of the online community. To express his reaction, Vic Sotto filed a case against Pepsi Paloma movie director Darryl Yap.
Vic arrived at the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) on January 9 with his wife, actress-host Pauleen Luna, to file a case against Darryl Yap. Bossing stressed that his move is nothing personal but he is against the spread of false information.
Recently, Pepsi Paloma movie director Darryl Yap expressed his claim that all his materials are documented. Based on a report on GMA News, the controversial filmmaker said he welcomes the complaint filed by Vic Sotto and vowed that his camp will immediately answer as soon as they get a copy of the complaint.
“Ang sa akin lamang, lahat po ng materyal na aking inilabas o ilalabas ay nakadokumento—hindi ko po gawa-gawa para makapanira,” Yap said.
Darryl Yap further claimed that it should not be taken personally as he is only exposing an alleged “truth” based on what were documented in the 1980s. Based on the report, he stressed that the documentations were publicized.
“Malaya naman po ang kahit na sino magsampa ng kaso… Hindi po tayo nagkulang. Mahalagang mapanood muna nila ang buong pelikula,” he said.
On the issue involving Vic Sotto and Darryl Yap, the court granted the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
