Darryl Yap is to face a complaint filed by Vic Sotto after his name was mentioned in his movie.

After the name of Vic Sotto was clearly mentioned in the teaser of the Pepsi Paloma movie, the veteran comedian will be filing a complaint.

Pepsi Paloma is a famous actress whose real name was Delia Duenas Smith died after taking her own life. She was sensational and controversial after she got entangled with Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Richie D’Horsie.

They allegedly violated her and some time after this allegation became a publicized issue, she died by taking her own life. Up until now, the real story behind this matter remained a mystery. It is so mysterious that Darryl Yap decided to put his creativity into it by sharing what happened in the past through a film.

The movie alone generated a loud buzz online and when the Pepsi Paloma movie teaser was released, the mention of Vic Sotto, the buzz became louder. Many were shocked by the clear mention of his name who, at that time, was one of the accused.

Following this, a report about Sotto filing a complaint against the director surfaced online. The TV host-actor is set to formally file the complaint on January 9 at the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court, according to Sotto’s legal counsel.

The complaint stems from the scene where late actress Charito Solis (played by Gina Alajar) asks Pepsi (played Rhed Bustamante) if Sotto did it to her and Pepsi’s character answered in a loud voice, “Oo!”

Meanwhile, as a director, Yap is known for discussing controversial themes and the film about Pepsi Paloma is no exception. He stood his ground in his latest film and stressed that it would be a “shocking truthful revelation”. He clarified that it is not under TAPE Inc. and not funded by Anti-Sottos.
