A landlord in Cubao has gone viral and earns criticism after his detailed rental ad received mixed reactions online.
Recently, Marvin Capino, a Facebook user, shared an ad showing room for rent with numerous rules and regulations. The post immediately spread like wildfire online and garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The room, priced at P4,000 per month, is located in a gated house with parking available for motorcycles. The rent includes Wi-Fi and promises an air-conditioned upgrade by summer. However, the list of restrictions surprised many potential tenants.
Among the prohibitions, cooking is not allowed, with the landlord pointing out the availability of a nearby eatery. Grocery items are also banned since there’s a sari-sari store nearby.
Other rules include no overnight visitors, no hybrid or work-from-home setups, no pets, and no drinking alcohol. Laundry is allowed, but each washing machine session costs P100.
Capino stated his preference for day-shift workers, noting that the room gets quite hot during the daytime until the air-conditioning is installed. Interested tenants must provide one month’s deposit, a P1,000 security deposit, and two valid IDs upon move-in.
