Star of the New Gen Jillian Ward admitted that her “maldita” role in her upcoming series My Ilongga Girl is challenging for her.

Jillian was first known in the entertainment industry as the cute child star with her beautiful face and her ability to make the viewers cry with her dramatic scenes.

After that big project, Jillian Ward is set to star in another major teleserye. In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the young actress admitted that her role in this series was a more challenging one than in her previous teleserye.

In My Ilongga Girl, she played two characters Roberta (or Tata) and Venice. She shared that her character Venice is always ready to fight. Jillian admitted that she is not used to getting angry in real life.

The actress shared that their director Conrado Peru would always tell her to get angrier in the scenes. “’Pag nagagalit po kasi ako, iniiyak ko lang, tumatahimik po ako. Tapos siyempre meron pang accent, mga ganu’n po,” she shared how she would normally react to that kind of situation.

Aside from her dual role in her new series, it was also challenging for Jillian to speak the Hiligaynon language. She was asked if her Ilongga mom helped her in this aspect.

Jillian Ward shared that growing up, she would hear her mom speaking in Hiligaynon but she was not taught to speak the language. When she asked her mom to teach her, the actress shared, “nafu-frustrate siya sa akin, sabi niya, ‘Bakit hindi mo makuha, anak?’ sabi ko, ‘Ma, hindi ko kasalanan, hindi mo ‘ko tinuruan.'”
