The controversial director stated that it had been his dream to tell the story of Pepsi Paloma, his “kababayan” since they both came from Olongapo.

With this, some netizens criticized him for allegedly aiming to destroy the name of the iconic TVJ trio, composed of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. Reportedly, Pepsi filed a r@pe case against Vic, Joey, and the late comedian Richie D’Horsie, and allegedly Tito did everything in his power to cover this up.

Darryl Yap stressed in his previous post that he has nothing against TVJ and his movie producer is not an enemy of the trio.

The teaser showed that Charito asked Pepsi to explain to her what happened as she couldn’t understand. “Pepsi, sumagot ka! Ni-r@pe ka ba ni Vic Sotto?” Charito asked and Pepsi emotionally screamed, “Oo!”

The video which was posted on Darryl’s Vincentiments Facebook Page ended with a statement saying, “Nagsampa ng kasong r@pe si Pepsi Paloma laban kay Vic Sotto noong August 17, 1982.”

The posts’ caption stated that Pepsi filed the case against Vic and other personalities but retracted the complaint after a while. Thus the title “Laban o Bawi.”
