Trevor Magallanes admits separation from Rufa Mae Quinto. Here’s his statement.
Rufa Mae Quinto and Trevor Magallanes are processing their divorce and this was confirmed by the comedienne’s husband.
There have been rumors that Rufa Mae Quinto’s eight-year marriage to husband Trevor Magallanes might be on shaky ground. This rumor started several weeks ago when people online noticed Trevor’s absence in the posts of the Pinay comedienne.
This was then fueled when screenshots of Rufa and Trevor’s conversation over the phone leaked online. Magallanes took to Instagram Stories to share screenshots of an emotional exchange of messages between him and Quinto.
“Just shut up and I’m leaving you forever. Just let me leave peacefully, and hope u okay,” Quinto was quoted.
The screenshots that surfaced immediately ignited marital problems speculation but the actress remained mum. Amid the legal battle she’s facing, separation rumors emerged. To recall, she is facing 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code.
Shortly after the alleged screenshots were revealed to the public, a statement from Trevor circulated online confirming their separation. According to the statement, they are now processing their divorce.
He felt the need to make the clarification because of the things that have been circulating online regarding their marriage. For now, what matters to him is to get through the divorce as best as he can and to spend time with their daughter Athena.
Quinto and Magallanes got married in 2016, then welcomed their daughter in 2017. The comedienne went back to the Philippines after staying some years in the United States where her husband is based.
She stayed in the US after giving birth and because of the pandemic. Currently, she is in the US again while she is sorting out her recent case and probably, to process the divorce with her husband.
