A source close to Rufa Mae Quinto spoke about an alleged warrant of arrest
Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto was allegedly involved in an investment scam and here is what a source close to her said about this issue.
Rufa has been in the entertainment industry for many years already. Just recently, her name was entangled in the investment issue that was the cause of celebrity entrepreneur Neri Miranda’s arrest.
Neri is now being detained at the Pasay City Jail Female Dormitory because of a syndicated estafa complaint and her alleged violation of the Securities Regulation Code and reportedly, it is because of her connection to beauty clinic Dermacare.
Amid this issue, a rumor surfaced that a warrant of arrest was also issued against former Senator Manny Pacquiao and Rufa Mae Quinto. Both of them are endorsers of Dermacare. The boxing champ was also a franchisee.
In a follow-up feature that talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz had on his Showbiz Update vlog about this issue, he shared that one of their sources defended Manny. This source clarified that the boxing champ is not the type who would involve himself with this type of business dealing.
The source added that although Manny was an endorser and had his Dermacare franchise, nothing exceeded this.
Then, Ogie shared that a personality confirmed that it was only Rufa Mae who had a warrant of arrest, just like what the legal counsel of alleged scam victims said in an interview.
A source close to Rufa Mae questioned her involvement in this alleged investment scam because even the comedienne has not received a full payment for her endorsement project. The source also stressed that the comedienne was just an endorser and that she did not solicit money from investors.
It was also stressed by the source how Rufa Mae encouraged investors to invest money in Dermacare when she, herself received a bouncing check from the company. The source shared that Rufa Mae Quinto is already aware of this accusation against her and she is ready to face the issue to clear her name.
