In a new episode, Heart Evangelista opens up what really happened to Chiz Escudero.
Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista shared her “almost downfall” moment when this happened to her husband Chiz Escudero.
Senator Chiz Escudero was reported to have been hospitalized in April of this year but not much was known about what really happened. There were rumors about him suffering from stroke while some reports stated he had a heart attack.
Months after, his wife Heart Evangelista shared what she realized about what happened. In a previous article, Heart revealed the health scare but did not go into the specifics. For them, it was a big wake-up call about the importance of health.
And recently, in the new episode of her Kapuso show “Heart World”, she recalled the moment of what turned out to be her almost downfall. She was emotional as she narrated her realizations about it.
According to her, she was not in the Philippines when it happened. She had a work abroad but when it transpired, she immediately booked a ticket as the situation became progressive.
She was emotional around her staff, fervently praying, and intensely crying. There was even a moment when she had a total breakdown and it appeared that anxiety consumed her. Good thing, she had her people around.
While abroad, she was told what happened and as per the senator, the incident was a result of his mistake. He was diagnosed hypertensive years ago and was given maintenance medicine. Instead of being consistent and religious in taking his medicine, he took the other path – a healthier and more active lifestyle. Although his blood pressure went fine not taking his meds was the biggest mistake.
For Heart, days before it happened, she already sensed something different with her husband but did not really pay attention to it. He had signs and she was aware of how much he worked for days before it happened. She was assured that he was just fine but the different kind of feeling in her was persistent.
The health emergency happened and it started when the senator’s blood pressure skyrocketed. He was not feeling well and for the first time, he experienced feeling hazy and not focused. His body was weak and his thoughts were blurred.
Right now, the senator is better and has learned his lesson. For Heart, her downfall is losing her husband. He is everything she needs in this world and even expressed that she is coming with him when he goes first.
