Gerald Anderson was asked about Julia Barretto and her father
Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson said that he does not want to intervene in the issue between his girlfriend actress Julia Barretto and her father actor Dennis Padilla.
Although Gerald and Julia’s relationship started with controversy in showbiz, their happiness being together is evident. Families from both sides are happy for the couple. Sometimes, Gerald would be spotted spending time with Julia’s family and vice versa.
Despite the strong bond that they have with each other, Gerald and Julia have no immediate plans to tie the knot. However, their support for each other would always be there, just like the recent milestone in the actor’s life.
Gerald Anderson had his Philippine Coast Guard Promotion and Julia Barretto was present during the ceremony to show support for her boyfriend.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Gerald was asked if Julia’s father Dennis Padilla called him. The Kapamilya actor said, “Oo, before.”
However, Gerald does not want to get involved in this aspect of his girlfriend’s life but stressed the importance of a family. “Kaso siyempre, more than me –kumbaga hindi naman ako kasama sa kung ano man ‘yung as a family, ‘diba? I think kay Tito Dennis dapat –I mean, ayaw ko naman mag-ano, pero mas importante kung ‘yung as a family,” he said.
The actor added that he is out of this issue but he is supporting both sides because after all, they are still family. “Again, hindi tayo pwedeng makisali diyan,” he added.
However, Gerald Anderson hoped that one day Julia and her father will reconcile. He understands this kind of situation in the family because their family also went through problems. Seeing his girlfriend’s situation, all he can do is to pray for her and her family with the hope that someday things will be okay.
