In a post, Alden Richards expressed his gratitude.
Kapuso actor Alden Richards is grateful for the new achievement unlocked by his film with Kathryn Bernardo, “Hello, Love, Again”.
“Hello, Love, Again” is the movie sequel to “Hello, Love, Goodbye” with Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards reprising their roles as Joy and Ethan. For the first 10 days of the film, it already made history and broke records.
Based on a previous article, “Hello, Love, Again” is now the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time overtaking “Rewind” by Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. It earned Php 930 million worldwide.
They claimed their seats one more as box office queen and king after it surpassed the record of “Rewind” which earned Php 924 million. To recall, at that time, “Rewind” surpassed the marks set by the 2019 original “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and another film of Kathryn “The Hows of Us.”
But this year, Alden and Kathryn reclaimed their spots breaking the record in just 10 days.
With this big feat, Richards took to Instagram his gratitude. He was ‘grateful beyond words’ as HLA became the highest-grossing Filipino film. He shared some never-before-seen photos from their shooting and wrote, “Thank you for making this happen”.
“We are truly grateful beyond words. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat,” he added.
Earlier, it also became the first Pinoy movie to break its way to the Top 10 films in the US, ranking eighth.
“Hello, Love, Again” is currently showing in more than a thousand cinemas worldwide. This is directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana and the other stars included in the film are Jennica Garcia, Joross Gamboa, Valerie Concepcion, Kevin Kreider, Jobert Austria, Mark Labella, Marvin Aritrangco, and Ruby Rodriguez.
Meanwhile, with the series of typhoons that hit the country in the past few weeks, a part of the profit from the film will be given to the typhoon victims.
