Here’s why this “Mama Chair” of Ivana Alawi is really expensive.

Actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi recently shared a video tour of her new house and this “Mama Chair” caught much attention.

One of the most successful video bloggers in the country is Ivana Alawi. Apart from being a businesswoman, her wealth also comes from vlogging and endorsements and with her millions of followers in various social media platforms, it is also no wonder if she earns huge.

In a previous article, Ivana did a house tour. It was another house tour video but this time, a tour of her own house where she invested much just to achieve the home she dreams to have.

The living area is accordingly one of her favorite parts of the house. It is spacious and pleasant and consists mainly of natural and neutral colors. Most of the furniture came from Italy and she admitted that the objects were indeed expensive as she decided it. She wanted to invest in quality objects for her house.

“Dito talaga ako nag-invest sa mga Italian furniture… Na-realize ko dapat ma-invest ka sa magagandang furniture na tatagal talaga,” she said.

And one of the most expensive parts of her house is her “Mama Chair”. It was a limited edition piece from an Italian brand and according to her, the set she bought cost her around Php 600,000.00 and there are only two here in the Philippines.

Based on B&B Italia, the chair is called Serie Up Compasso d’Oro designed by Gaetano Pesce. As per the website, this piece is a “famous icon of international contemporary design” and won last June the XXVII Compasso d’Oro “Award for Product Career 2022”.

It is stated that this is “the most significant award in the field of Italian industrial design”. In the world, there are just 500 pieces of this. Gaetano Pesce, the designer, has been in the field for four decades with commissions in architecture, urban planning, interior, exhibition, and industrial design. As an architect and designer, he has made projects, both public and private, in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
