Enrique Gil has a new film with Rob Gomez and Alexa Miro
Actor Enrique Gil, together with his co-stars Alexa Miro and Rob Gomez in the movie Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital, shared their scary experiences on the set.
Enrique’s new movie falls under the horror category and was included as one of the official entries in the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. This is based on Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, a South Korean box office hit.
In the recent media conference for this film, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Enrique shared that it has always been his dream to produce a horror movie. Alexa shared that everyone in the cast was a camera operator.
Enrique Gil flaunted that this was the first-ever in the history of Philippine cinema and this gives them excitement.
Rob Gomez revealed that he was terrified during the filming. The Kapuso actor said that he does not believe in strange frequencies but he was sweaty during the shoot and the location was so scary.
Alexa Mirp shared that they were excited to explore Taiwan and they had companions who were sensitive about the paranormal stuff. “They would hear or feel stuff na ganun,” the actress shared.
Then, she said that personally, she experienced something scary when they passed by the tunnel going to the location. She said that there was a whisper to her saying that they should not take that route. “Pagpasok namin sa tunnel, meron ng kakaibang energy na pumasok sa akin. It was heavy. Paikot sa ibang parts ng body ko na parang may sumasakay sa akin,” she shared.
Alexa was thankful that Jane de Leon’s mom was there to check on her and that gave her ease.
Enrique Gil shared that the Taiwanese members of the team prayed for their group during the shoot and they also had some offerings.
He also shared that during the shoot several pieces of movie equipment were malfunctioning. The actor said that it really felt like there were strange frequencies in that area, like in one scene, a table just suddenly fell. Alexa added that they heard voices that pretended to be them and “it was like a warning from the spirits.”
