Coco Martin is strictly following equality
Batang Quiapo actor Coco Martin revealed that he wasted money worth Php11 million because of this.
Coco candidly talked about his life and career in a recent interview on the YouTube channel of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz. One of the topics they discussed was about the reason why the actor does not celebrate his birthday and it has something to do with his childhood trauma.
In the same interview, Coco was also asked about his brothers who are currently part of his Kapamilya series. He admitted he somehow felt “hiya” that he included his brothers Ronwaldo and Ryan Martin in Batang Quiapo because people might thought that he used his authority.

Coco Martin, on the other hand, said that Filipinos are keen to help their relatives much more than they help other people. However, the Kapamilya actor stressed that he reminded his brothers that he is taking care of his reputation and that he does not want the bosses to get angry because of what they have done.
“Ayaw ko ‘yung baka mag-feeling-feeling sa set, or magtamad-tamaran, alam mo ‘yun o hindi marunong umarte,” Coco said, adding that his brothers do not stay in his tent on the set, instead, his brothers are with other cast members.
The actor wanted to impose that wall of respect because they were at work. Coco also said that this is important since he wanted to teach his brothers the ins and outs of the industry so that it will be avoided that their egos will consume them.
“Kasi ganu’n ako kabalanse, ayaw kong nakikita ko mga kapatid ko na mag-boss-boss, ay hindi, ayaw ko no’n para ‘yung respeto rin makita nila na, ‘ah patas ang taong ‘to,’” he stressed.

However, when it comes to their personal relationship, Coco is a loving older brother to his brothers and other members of their family. The actor built houses for each of them. He saw the need that it should be he who would provide a house for his loved ones.
Then, he revealed that he realized that his house had bigger rooms than what his siblings had. “Nung patapos na nakita ko yung kuwarto ko malaki, yung sa mga kapatid ko maliit sa mata ko kaya pinatibag ko,” he said.
With his desire to have equality between him and his siblings, Coco Martin let go of his millions. “Nagtapon ako ng P11 milyon para lang baguhin, hindi naman pareho sa bahay ko pero alam kong maayos sila at kumportable sila,” the Kapamilya actor said.
