Vice Ganda ‘s Entertaining Responses to Chelsea Manalo Falling Short of the Miss Universe Top 12
VICE GANDA – Fans couldn’t get enough of Vice Ganda’s hilarious reactions online after Chelsea Manalo missed securing a spot in the Miss Universe Top 12.”
Filipino pageant fans were saddened and disappointed when Chelsea Manalo failed to make it to the Top 12 of the 73rd Miss Universe pageant. Chelsea represented the Philippines in the prestigious international pageant held in Mexico City, Mexico, on Sunday, November 17, 2024 (Philippine time).
Filipino fans were initially thrilled when Chelsea secured a spot among the Top 30 finalists. However, their excitement dwindled as the Top 12 finalists were announced — and Chelsea’s name was not called.
The Top 12 consisted of contestants from Bolivia, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, Russia, Chile, Thailand, Denmark, Canada, and Peru. As a coping mechanism, some pageant fans turned to humor to process Chelsea’s loss.
Among them was Vice Ganda, a well-known pageant enthusiast and active social media user during Miss Universe events.
While the pageant was ongoing, Vice continuously tweeted on X (formerly Twitter).
He first commented on Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, the host, who he found too animated.
“Olivia puyat ako at nakainom. Baka pwedeng wag masyadong malikot hinihilo moko ats! Relax! Go Chelsea!” the It’s Showtime host tweeted.
Vice was evidently impressed by Chelsea’s swimsuit competition performance.
“Ayan ganyan Chelsea! Gusto ko yang rampang parang may pinapahid ka sa gutter. Laban!” he remarked, referring to Chelsea’s pasarela walk.
Vice Ganda also poked fun at backstage host Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s outfit.
“Natatakot ako baka cooking show tong Miss U! Naka apron si Catriona e,” he joked about Catriona’s backless white outfit.
His next comment reacted to Chelsea not making it to the Top 12.
“Ahhh ehhhh. Ok. Bye. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!” he tweeted.
Finally, he added, “Thanks, Chelsea! Have a safe flight back home! [heart emojis].”
