Rhian Ramos First Reaction To Sam’s Plan To Run For Mayor: ‘Huwag!’

Rhian Ramos says Sam Verzosa has the right reasons to be in politics

Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos shared her initial reaction when her boyfriend Tutok To Win Party-list Representative Sam Verzosa told her that he wanted to run for Manila Mayor.

Rhian has been very supportive of Sam’s political career. Previously, before the filing of the certificate of candidacy, the actress already expressed that she was ready to support Sam if he would eventually decide to run for mayor of the capital city of the Philippines.

In an interview last October, Rhian talked about her boyfriend’s aspiration to be the Manila mayor and she said that she hopes the people of the city will also see the good intentions that Sam has because he really wants to help them.

In a recent interview for her new movie Huwag Mo’ Kong Iwan, Rhian Ramos was once again asked about Sam Verzosa’s political stint as an aspiring Manila Mayor. She said that she would be happy if this happened and this is not for herself because she never aspired to be involved in politics.

Rhian, on the other hand, stressed that her boyfriend was doing it for the right reasons and with the intention of bringing positive changes to the city.

When asked if it was easy for her to adjust to the world of politics, the actress said that it was not difficult because all her life, she was in showbiz. She is used to being around people and she loves being around people.

However, Rhian said that the difference is that politics is more intense than showbiz. “Yung difference lang is politics is mas intense pa than showbiz. Ayun, may mga… ako, nakikita ko parang the dirty side, the siraan, yung parang… yun lang yung hindi ako medyo sana,” she shared.

The actress also shared the initial reaction that she had when her boyfriend told her about his plan to run for mayor.

To be honest, nung sinabi niya yun, sabi ko, ‘Huwag!’ Yun, yung una ko talagang reaction, sabi ko, ‘Huwag!’” she said, adding that even during the time when Sam was planning to run for party-list representative, she also said “Huwag.”
