Motivational Speaker Makes Big Decision After Close Call in Scary Accident
A motivational speaker has decided to quit smoking after experiencing an accident that almost cost him his life.
Recently, Project1M by The Chichester, a content creator on Facebook, shared his story of making a big decision to quit smoking after a close call in a scary accident. The post garnered various reactions from the internet users.
He was riding his old scooter on a steep road in Antipolo, carrying about 50 kilos of beef for his project. Trying to get up the hill without stalling, he picked up some speed. But then, just as he got to the top, his front brake stopped working, the brake fluid leaked, and the lever went soft.
Instinctively, he tried using the rear brake, but the cable snapped. Now he had no brakes at all. Feeling both nervous and strangely excited, he kept going, hoping the next incline would slow him down. But the road sloped downward again, and things felt out of control with the extra weight he was carrying.
Desperate, he even tried using his slippers to slow down, but it was tough with the heavy load. Finally, he jumped off the scooter, managing to get a hold of it before it could roll down the steep slope.
Two days later, looking back on the whole incident, he felt like he’d been given a second chance. With that in mind, he made a promise to stop smoking for good, knowing it wouldn’t be easy but feeling like it was the right thing to do.
Currently, he’s encouraging others to join him on this journey, to give up smoking for their health and the sake of their families. Together, he hopes they can count the days smoke-free and work toward healthier lives.
