Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards closed Joy and Ethan’s story
Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo and Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards said that there is no more sequel for Joy and Ethan.
Kathryn and Alden, tagged as the KathDen tandem, first worked together in the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye. They played the characters of Joy and Ethan. The 2019 movie had an open ending. Despite the love that Joy and Ethan had for each other, they chose to pursue their dreams.
Five years later, the sequel happened. Hello, Love, Again is set to be released in cinemas on November 13. This will continue the story of Joy and Ethan. Working together again, Kathryn and Alden brought excitement to KathDen fans.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards were asked if there would be another movie after Hello, Love, Again.
“I think this will put an end to Joy and Ethan’s journey,” the actress said. The actor agreed with this. “Pagpahingahin na natin sila,” he said about their characters. Alden also said that their characters have been through a lot. For them, it was time to say goodbye to Joy and Ethan but the actor teased about “what if” and then, he said that, for him and Kathryn, it was already okay. “This will answer all their questions,” the actress added.

Both Alden and Kathryn felt the pressure of presenting in the sequel, if not exceeding, at least similar quality to the first movie that they did. The actress said that everything happened so fast and she was somehow nervous.
Alden said that in all his projects, especially in this particular project, the pressure was there because there was already a benchmark. He was aware that there would be comparisons and the pressure of the box office result. For a time, HLG was the top-grossing Filipino film until Rewind took the position in early 2024.
