Kamala Harris Concedes, Donald Trump Wins Comeback in White House
DONALD TRUMP – The victory of the former US President in this year’s election triggered an advice for illegal Filipino immigrants to leave immediately.
In the history of politics in the United States, there are rare situations when a former U.S. president won the presidential election not just once — but it is happening again now. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris who was in a tight race against Trump in the 2024 presidential elections has conceded in the race.
Former U.S. Pres. Donald Trump’s win against U.S. Vice Pres. Kamala Harris in the 2024 Elections is not the first of its kind. The late former U.S. Pres. Stephen Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president of the United States.
The recent victory of Trump makes him the 45th and 47th president of U.S. He completed the 270 electoral votes needed to clinch to the presidency with his win in Wisconsin. He also got Michigan and Pennsylvania.
U.S. Vice Pres. Kamala Harris called to Trump on Wednesday to concede in the race and congratulate him for his victory. Former U.S. Pres. Barack Obama who supports Harris also congratulated Trump although he admitted that it was not the result he and many Americans have hoped for.
Following the victory of Donald Trump, the envoy of the Philippines in the United States advised the illegal Filipino immigrants to leave U.S. immediately and voluntarily to avoid an unwanted situation. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez made the call for Filipinos who want to avoid being blacklisted.
“My advice to them is to immediately leave voluntarily because once you are deported you can never come back to the United States,” Romualdez said.
The PH Ambassador to U.S. further said the illegal Filipino immigrants who will go home voluntarily to evade deportation will grab the chance to return to U.S. as long as rules and regulations of the country are followed.
According to Romualdez, he sees that the administration of former U.S. Pres. Donald Trump is really going to be strict on immigration policies as he has vowed to the Americans and can be one of the reasons why he won. Based on the report, the PH envoy stressed that it is an issue that is important among many Americans.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos has congratulated Donald Trump for his election win. According to the Philippine President, he has met him as a young man and he is confident with his leadership.
