Typhoon Marce Update – Life-Threatening Conditions Persist As Per Latest

Here’s an update about Typhoon Marce from PAGASA.

TYPHOON MARCE UPDATE – PAGASA released the latest about the typhoon which is currently battering the north of Luzon.

Several areas in Luzon are currently suffering the effects of Typhoon Marce. As of the latest from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the typhoon with the international name Yinxing made landfall in Santa Ana, Cagayan at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, November 7.

It has a near-super typhoon strength of 175 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts reaching 240 kph based on the latest bulletin from PAGASA. Moreover, several areas are still covered under Signal No. 4, the highest hoisted as of this writing.

Signal No. 1 (Minimal to minor threat to life and property)

Luzon

The rest of La Union, Pangasinan, the rest of Ifugao, the rest of Benguet, the rest of Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, the northern and central portions of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, Baler), the northern portion of Nueva Ecija (Carranglan), and the northern portion of Zambales (Santa Cruz, Candelaria)

Signal No. 4 (Significant to severe threat to life and property)

Luzon

The northern portion of Cagayan (Gonzaga, Santa Ana, Santa Teresita, Lal-Lo, Buguey, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Gattaran, Ballesteros, Allacapan, Abulug, Pamplona, Sanchez-Mira, Claveria, Santa Praxedes, Lasam) including Babuyan Islands, the northern portion of Apayao (Santa Marcela, Luna, Flora, Calanasan, Pudtol), and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Bangui, Vintar, Dumalneg, Adams, Bacarra, Pasuquin, Burgos)

According to PAGASA, life-threatening conditions persisted in Northern Cagayan as Marce made landfall. The center, at 4 PM was spotted in the vicinity of Santa Ana, Cagayan.

Possibly, Marce will exit PAR tomorrow afternoon or evening, and the possibility that it will intensify into a super typhoon is not ruled out.
