Hardworking Vendor Selling Chicharon & Penoy Despite Having No Footwear Touches Many Hearts
A hardworking vendor from Batangas has captured the hearts of netizens for selling chicharon and penoy despite having no footwear.
Recently, Yvanna Crista Siscar Reyes, a Facebook user, shared a photo of the vendor, describing her brief but memorable encounter. The post quickly circulated online and elicited reactions from the online community.
While out with family, Reyes spotted the vendor selling his goods, and instead of buying their intended dinner, she chose to support him by purchasing chicharon and penoy. She was touched to see him still working late into the night and noticed that he was standing barefoot as he sold his goods.
Despite having no shoes or slippers, the vendor sells his products to make a living. Yvanna posted the photo online, hoping it would encourage others nearby to buy from him and help him earn a little extra to take home.
Many were moved by the vendor’s perseverance, especially given his humble and difficult situation.
In her post, Yvanna also urged anyone in Batangas, especially those near Bolbok, to look out for the vendor and support his small business. She expressed hope that others would buy from him so he could bring home a little more for his family.
