Kamala Harris Concedes, Donald Trump Wins White House Comeback
DONALD TRUMP – The former United States President won the 2024 U.S. Election over the Democratic Party and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.
The world recently witnessed a tight race in the United States to determine the next president of the super power. The Democratic Party supported U.S. Vice Pres. Kamala Harris in her presidential bid. U.S. Pres. Joe Biden was in full support of Harris.
Former U.S. Donald Trump who lost to Biden in 2020 launched an attempt to return to the White House bearing the Republican’s flag. In the previous presidential election, he lost several swing states to the current U.S. President.
In 2016, Trump won in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania but lost them to Biden in 2020. Nevada has always supported the Democratic Party’s bets.
The counting of the votes in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election is ongoing but Donald Trump has already secured the 270 electoral votes needed to clinch to the presidency. Currently, he has garnered 295 electoral votes or 72,293,136 votes while Kamala Harris has secured 226 electoral votes or 67,569,249 votes.
Based on a report on AP, Trump won Michigan on Wednesday afternoon with a sweeping victory in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Democrats win in the said swing states but sided with Trump in 2016. In 2020, they supported Biden.
The Republican’s and U.S. Vice Pres. Kamala Harris conceded to Donald Trump amid the counting. The U.S. Vice President called to Trump to concede the race and congratulate him for winning the presidential election.
The victory of Trump is a grand comeback in the White House. He is the 45th president of the United States and his return to the presidency makes him the 47th president of U.S. Several national leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and French President Emmanuel Macron have called to congratulate Trump in his election victory.
Based on the report, even prior to the confirmation of his victory, Trump has already declared his election win in front of cheering supporters in Florida.
“I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president,” Trump said.
Not only the Republicans in U.S. are supporting the presidential bid of Trump. In the Philippines, actress Bianca Manalo took to social media a congratulatory post for Trump.
