If you are a member of the Government Service Insurance System who is in need of additional funds for something, there are loan offers that you can turn to but there is this one offer with a simplified list of qualifications.
Aside from the GSIS Multipurpose Loan offer, the Government Service Insurance System also offers the GSIS MPL Flex. It is also cash loan offer where the existing loans of the member-borrower may be consolidated but instead of requiring a member to have posted at least three (3) monthly premium contributions to qualify for the loan offer, a member-borrower may qualify even with just one (1) monthly contribution posted.

You may apply for the Multi-Purpose Loan Flex offer of the Government Service Insurance System at a branch of the social insurance giant or via GSIS Touch mobile app or GWAPS Kiosk. The GSIS MPL Flex requirements vary depending on the application process.

via Over-the-Counter
Requirements:
- duly-accomplished MPL Application Form
- photocopy of the eCard or UMID eCard
via GSIS Touch mobile app
- duly-accomplished MPL Application Form
- clear picture of the borrower holding his GSIS UMID eCard (or temporary eCard)
- if GSIS UMID eCard or temporary eCard is not available, present 2 valid IDs instead and do the following:
How To Apply
- Login to your GSIS Touch mobile app account (BP number and PW)
- Click Loans Application icon and choose (Multi-purpose Loan), Loan Type (New or Renewal)
- Upload a Picture of Member holding UMID / Temporary CARD or 2 Valid Government IDs if UMID / Temporary CARD is lost (as JPEG or PDF File)
- Confirm Loan Agreement and click SAVE
- Await email confirmation from GSIS for tentative loan computation
via GWAPS Kiosk
Requirements:
- duly-accomplished MPL Application Form
- clear picture of the borrower holding his GSIS UMID eCard (or temporary eCard)
- if GSIS UMID eCard or temporary eCard is not available, present 2 valid IDs instead and do the following:
How To Apply
- Go to a GWAPS kiosk nearest you
- Place your eCard Plus/UMID in the G-W@PS kiosk card reader. You will be required to place your finger in the biometrics scanner. Once recognized, personal data will be displayed
- Choose Loan Windows icon and click on Multipurpose Loan. The screen will display the tentative computation of your preferred loan. You may change the loan amount and/or payment term
- To confirm your loan application, place selected finger on the biometrics scanner
- Await for email or SMS from GSIS regarding the approval of your loan
In times of calamities, members of the Government Service Insurance System may also apply for the GSIS Calamity Loan.
