Why is Panama’s Italy Mora withdrawing from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant?

Panama’s bet Italy Mora is not joining the Miss Universe 2024 pageant anymore and this is the reason why.

The universe’s most prestigious pageant is fast approaching but weeks ahead of reigning Miss Universe queen Sheynnis Palacios crowning her successor, one of the contestants stepped back.

Recently, the MUO announced that Miss Universe Panama 2024 Italy Mora is no longer a part of the competition as decided by the organization’s disciplinary commission. After a careful investigation, it’s foreseen that this is the solution there is to the situation.

“The Miss Universe organization wishes to stress the importance of maintaining confidentiality and respect during this process. Over the years, our pageant has been a beacon of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment for women around the world,” the statement said.

It was a lengthy statement, however, the reason was unclear.

There were speculations online and according to the Pageant Aficionado page with 467K followers on Facebook, it could possibly be because of a conflict between Dominican Republic’s Celinee Santos Frias. A misunderstanding occurred and it led to physical.

Based on the grapevine, Frias has a bad attitude and a superiority complex. They were roommates and since this was the situation, Panama had enough. She made the first hit and Frias hit her back.

“DOMREP hit her back but because PANAMA made the first contact, she was labeled the aggressor. PANAMA left the hotel with her NATIONAL DIRECTOR, not because of some romantic or s-xu-l context but because they couldn’t handle DOMREP’s treatment of PANAMA.”
