Why is Panama’s Italy Mora withdrawing from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant?
Panama’s bet Italy Mora is not joining the Miss Universe 2024 pageant anymore and this is the reason why.
The universe’s most prestigious pageant is fast approaching but weeks ahead of reigning Miss Universe queen Sheynnis Palacios crowning her successor, one of the contestants stepped back.
Recently, the MUO announced that Miss Universe Panama 2024 Italy Mora is no longer a part of the competition as decided by the organization’s disciplinary commission. After a careful investigation, it’s foreseen that this is the solution there is to the situation.
“The Miss Universe organization wishes to stress the importance of maintaining confidentiality and respect during this process. Over the years, our pageant has been a beacon of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment for women around the world,” the statement said.

The viewers have multiple voting opportunities to vote for the candidate they want to advance to the semi-finals and Best Costume competition, and the Global Vote will begin on November 14, and end at 12:00 P.M. EST on November 16 or 12:00 A.M. of November 17 in the Philippines.
The pageant will be held at the Arena CDMX, Mexico City, Mexico, on November 16, 2024. Belarus, Eritrea, Guinea, Iran, Macau, Moldova, North Macedonia, Somalia, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan are the countries making a debut this year comprising the list of over 100 countries joining.
