Singer TJ Monterde Admits Palagi Being Movie OST A Dream Come True
TJ MONTERDE – The singer shared how his song “Palagi” became the official soundtrack (OST) of the movie Hello, Love, Again.
Undeniably, TJ’s song Palagi is one of the most popular Tagalog songs in the Philippines now. It is also the official soundtrack of the much-awaited movie Hello, Love, Again starred by Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.
The OST of Hello, Love, Again is a duet of TJ Monterde and his wife, KZ Tandingan. The said song was personally composed by TJ for his wife on their 10th anniversary. It has become the favorite song of countless people now and is being played everywhere.
TJ Monterde was emotional on hearing Palagi as a movie OST which he admitted as a prayer that came true. The movie top-billed by Kathryn and Alden is expected to be released on theaters in November.
Recently, TJ Monterde shared how Palagi became the OST of Hello, Love, Again. Based on an article on PUSH, the singer revealed that it was really Kathryn Bernardo who reached out to him regarding the song.
According to TJ, he and KZ were in Cagayan de Oro on August 27, the day when they released the duet version of Palagi. They are set to celebrate their anniversary the following day.
“Sobrang sakto… kakantahin namin for the first time ‘yung duet version. Pag-gising ko, pag-open ko ng Instagram ko, finollow ako ni Kath,” the singer said.
TJ Monterde admitted that he was gushing over Kathryn Bernardo following him on social media. According to the singer, the Kapamilya star did a group chat and messaged them telling them that she loves the song and she usually listens to it.
“Sinabi niya, ‘Can we use the song for Hello, Love, Again?’ Siya mismo nagsabi sa akin,” TJ shared.
Based on the article, the singer stressed that his dream came true on a perfect timing when they released the duet version of the song. According to him, when he writes songs, he imagines scenes and it is different that his imaginations will not only be in his mind but can be seen on the big screen.
“Halos kada show namin ngayon may proposals na nagaganap, kahit sa gigs namin. Ganun ‘yung naging effect niya sa mga tao,” she said.
