CHARLIE PUTH – American singer Charlie Puth leads tributes to Former One Direction Star Liam Payne after the British singer was found dead at an Argentinian hotel.
Liam Payne, former member of the globally famous boyband One Direction, has tragically died at the age of 31 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Payne passed away after reportedly falling from the third floor of a hotel in the upscale neighborhood of Palermo, according to local authorities.
Police confirmed that an emergency crew responded to a 911 call reporting an aggressive man possibly under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Upon arrival at the hotel, officers heard a loud noise from the interior courtyard, leading them to discover Payne’s body. Emergency medical services director Alberto Crescenti stated that Payne had suffered “serious injuries” and that an autopsy would be conducted to determine the cause of death. However, Crescenti did not comment further on the circumstances of the fall.
Payne, who shot to international fame as a member of One Direction in 2010, was beloved by fans around the world. The band, formed on the UK talent show The X Factor, featured Payne alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik. One Direction became one of the most successful boybands in history before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
