Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes are valuing their votes
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera shared that she and her husband Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes always have their “heart-to-heart talk” before the elections.
Marian and Dingdong are very supportive of each other’s endeavors. Their strong relationship is admired by many people, aside from how they are as parents to their kids Zia and Sixto.
Marian considers her husband as her “lucky charm,” especially when she recently won the Cinemalaya Best Actress award for the movie Balota.
The critically acclaimed movie is about the struggles of Teacher Emmy, played by Marian Rivera, in order to protect the ballot box from people with dark intentions as she values the people’s votes.
In real life, Marian and Dingdong are also valuing their votes. The actress shared in a recent interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, that she and her husband would really discuss about politics and voting.
“Bumoboto talaga ako. Kaming dalawa ng asawa ko. Nag-uusap talaga kami ng asawa ko. Mahalagang mahalaga sa amin ang pagboto especially kay Dong,” the actress said.
They would really discuss who they should vote for. “Isa ito sa pinagiisipan niyang mabuti pagdating sa botohan. May heart to heart talk kami lagi ni Dong kung sino ang dapat iboto,” she shared.
She also said that when she wants to say something regarding this, her husband would listen to her but most of the time, she is the one listening to him.
Marian was also asked if she received offers to run for a government position. She admitted that there were offers but she couldn’t offer anything. The actress said that she would just take care of her kids and stressed that she could still help even though she would not run in the elections and without other people knowing about it.
Marian Rivera also said that at times, people would comment if she showed that she was helping and some would still comment if she was not showing it. With this, she stressed that she just has to do what she thinks would help other people.
