Julie Anne San Jose apologized for her recent performance
Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose broke her silence on her controversial church performance that garnered negative comments online.
Julie Anne is one of the most in-demand celebrities on the Kapuso network. She has done various acting projects and stints when it comes to her music career. Just recently, her performance went viral but it was because of negative reactions from netizens.
Her viral video showed that she was performing the song Dancing Queen inside a Catholic Church and this did not sit well with a lot of netizens.
Following the criticism against Julie Anne San Jose, Sparkle GMA Artist Center released a statement. The Kapuso talent management company said that it is taking full responsibility for what happened.
It also said that the company should’ve coordinated well with the organizers of the event so that misunderstanding could have been avoided. Sparkle also stressed that Julie Anne does not mean disrespect to Catholic believers.
In a recent Instagram Story, the singer-actress broke her silence on the issue. She apologized for what happened. Julie Anne also said that his intention was to support the church’s fund-raising concert.
“I am offering my apologies. Even though my only intentions were to share joy and to give support to the church through the benefit concert, many have felt offended about the incident I was in and with my performance which caused distress. I truly, sincerely apologize. This is a lesson learned and it is assured that it will not be repeated,” she wrote.
Julie Anne San Jose also stressed that even though she is not perfect, her beliefs are strong and her faith is unbreakable and cannot be shaken. “I pray that we can all move forward with compassion in our hearts. Thank you,” she added.
Meanwhile, the singer-actress also answered a controversial issue last month. It is about her boyfriend Rayver Cruz and this is because some of her fans are bashers of the actor. Julie Anne said that she saw how Rayver would make an effort.
