PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Prevail Across PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reports that cloudy to rainy weather is expected across the country.
On Saturday (February 8, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that cloudy and rainy conditions will prevail over most parts of the country.

“Dahil po sa shear line, magiging maulan po o malalakas ang mga pag-ulan sa bahagi po ng southern Luzon, pati na rin po sa Kabisayaan ngayong araw,” Torres said.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Aurora.
The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather conditions over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon. The easterlies will bring clouds and rain over Mindanao.

Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will be rough to very rough. Moderate to rough coastal waters are expected over Visayas, the eastern section of Southern Luzon, and the western section of Central Luzon.
Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country. A gale warning was raised over northern and central seaboards of Luzon, according to PAGASA.
