Megastar Sharon Cuneta Calls On People To Do Research before Voting
Sharon Cuneta called on the people to do research before voting and admitted that it hurts them when people downplay Kiko’s works.
One of the politicians who have formalized their decision to make a comeback in the previoust posts they have held is former Senator Kiko Pangilinan. He filed his Certificate of Candidacy (CoC) for senator under the Liberal Party.
Kiko was away from the political arena for more than a year since he lost in the 2022 Elections. He was the running-mate of former Vice President Leni Robredo. Both of them were among the strong candidates on the 2022 presidential and vice presidential elections but they lost to the BBM-Sara tandem.
In the May 2025 Midterm Elections, Kiko Pangilinan is seeking a Senate comeback. His former running-mate, former Vice Pres. Leni Robredo, is running for mayor in Naga.
Former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan filed his candidacy for senator on the last day of the filing of candidacies for the 2025 Midterm Elections. He was accompanied by his wife, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who made a statement at the Manila Hotel Tent City.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Sharon appealed to the public to do a research first when voting in the election. She stressed that it is so easy for a lot of people to easily believe the bashing of other people online.
“Alam niyo po ang pagto-troll ng ibang tao. Napakadali maniwala ng Pilipino sa paninira lang. Please do your research,” the Megastar said.
Sharon Cuneta admitted that it really hurts them when people say that former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan has done nothing. The actress-singer stressed that they know how hard her husband is working and all his works can be found on the internet.
“Sana po sabihan niyo ‘yung iba na sinasabi wala siyang ginawa, my God, ‘yun po ang isa sa pinakamalaking kasalanan na ginawa ng kanyang kalaban,” she expressed.
Based on the report, Sharon advises the people to find out through research the politicians who are really deserving to be voted for and who are those who did not do corrupt practices. The actress-singer also expressed her gratitude to the volunteers and the supporters who back her husband.
Pangilinan said that running for senator was really his original plan in 2022. However, he has decided to set aside his personal plan when former Vice Pres. Leni Robredo asked him to be her running-mate in the elections.
