In mixed emotions, Willie Revillame formally filed for his COC.
Game show host Willie Revillame has filed his certificate of candidacy to run for senator in the 2025 midterm polls.
A new election season has just started and finally giving in to the encouragement he’s received, “Wil To Win” host Willie Revillame officially signed up to formalize his senatorial bid.
In a previous article, Willie asked for prayers from the people but did not clarify what they were for. However, people already have expectations. Many assumed that it would be about taking a path he’s been avoiding for years now.
“Pag nandito ako bukas, tuloy-tuloy. Pag wala ako, mas malaki ang maiambag ko sa bawat Pilipino. Ang kailangan ko, makagawa ng mabuti sa bawat Pilipinong nangangailangan. Makikipag-away ako para sa mahihirap,” he said.
On October 8, the last day for the filing of the certificates of candidacy to run for 2025 midterm elections, Revillame was on the 42nd floor of the Wil Tower building holding a pen and signing up his COC.
“I have mixed emotions,” he told PEP.
This is accordingly something his children and family don’t know about but what he knows is that he is doing this for the people. This is for people who thought that there was no more hope and all that’s been left were just promises.
He wants to make these promises come true. He said, “Gusto ko lang, gumawa ng kabutihan, sa ating mga kababayan, sa mga kapus-palad.”
For decades in the industry, it has become his lifetime commitment to help poor people and give them hope. At this point in his life, he seemed to have found a purpose in helping people through being in public service. And if he is given this opportunity to serve, he will make sure to do the best that he can.
