Kapamilya host Robi Domingo turned emotional in his video about wanting a child and Maiqui Pineda has this reaction.
An emotional Robi Domingo faced his followers through a video. In his video, he became emotional while talking about the gift he wanted for his 25th birthday. It was a two-part video where he marked his life’s recent milestone with a life reflection.
Robi said he was ready to become a father, however, his wife’s autoimmune condition still would not permit them. In addition to this, they are also surrendering this to God’s plan and it was His permission that they are actually waiting for.
To recall, last year, Robi revealed Maiqui’s rare condition but despite this, their wedding pushed through.
“My plan in the next five years is to be a better houseband and husband. And hopefully next year, when the Lord permits it and when her [Pineda’s] condition permits it – depende sa clearance ng doctors – I hope to introduce you to a baby Robi or baby Maiqui, or why not twins?” he said.
Netizens reacted to his video. While others understood what he was feeling, some did not and he was taunted for wanting a baby despite knowing his wife’s condition. According to the netizens, this put too much pressure on the side of the wife whose life is going to change when she becomes a mother on top of her rare autoimmune disease.
Maiqui was made aware of the comments aired by some people online and she addressed this.
For her, the video of her husband has no issues at all which she has already mentioned before. This was accordingly both of their goals and plans but the reality has to be acknowledged. They have turned to their faith and trust God’s timing. They are hopeful and for now, they have to wait and do some work.
There’s also no pressure on her part. No one made her feel the weight of it and she knew that was what she wanted the reason why she’s doing what she can to make it happen one day.
