Kim Ji Soo and Alexa Ilacad are featured in a new film
South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo shared his experience working with Kapamilya actress Alexa Ilacad in the movie Mujigae.
In South Korea, Ji Soo has done several shows. This year, he was given a chance to be part of a series in the Philippines. The first show that he did was the defunct Kapuso series Black Rider.
Then, he was included in the Kapuso afternoon series Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap. The South Korean actor also signed a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Kim Ji Soo shared what it was like working with Alexa Ilacad, as well as with child star Ryrie Sophia.
In the movie, Ji Soo plays the character of Park Ji Sung, the absentee father of Mujigae played by Ryrie. Mujigae is a five-year-old Filipino-Korean. Her Filipino mother suddenly passed away while they were living in South Korea.
With this, Mujigae had to migrate to the Philippines and live with her aunt Sunny, played by Alexa. Sunny, at first, resented the responsibility of raising a kid. When Mujigae and Sunny grew closer, Park Ju Sung entered the scene.
Ji Soo said that he and Alexa did not have many scenes together but he saw her professional side. “Even if she is younger than me, but I think she has a lot of experience, so she’s good at acting. Even I watch here the trailer, Alexa and Ryrie, they’re really good,” he said.
The actor added that he is supporting them. He also shared that it was her first time working with a kid. He described Ryrie as “really talented,” and “very cute.” Ji Soo also said that the child actress delivered a “really good expression” when she was portraying her role, especially in the dramatic scenes.
Kim Ji Soo also shared that Filipino actors are “more bright.” The South Korean added that celebrities in the Philippines smile a lot and this gives him positive energy on the set.
