Carol Batay – From “Conservative Pharmacist ng Tondo” To Chinese Interpreter At POGO Hearings

Remember former PBB housemate Carol Batay? She currently does this.

CAROL BATAY – The former PBB housemate was previously called “Conservative Pharmacist ng Tondo”, and now, she is a Chinese interpreter.

Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Carolyn Batay, also known as Carol Batay, has caught attention online after appearing in a recent hearing related to POGOs. She attended the hearing as a Chinese interpreter, a vital task indeed.

In the hearing, Michael Yang’s brother, Tony Yang, needed an interpreter for the Senate inquiry into illegal offshore gaming hubs as he accordingly cannot speak Filipino, English, or Bisaya.

The former PBB housemate was formerly called the “Conservative Pharmacist ng Tondo” and her most recent task was to help the senators communicate with Yang as they are now in the final stretch of the investigation.

The recent one was not her first time to attend the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality’s hearing into POGOs. The first time was in May according to her Instagram account.

She gushed about the experience, “From TV shows, to international events, to Senate hearings. Finally making it here. Thank you Lord, you never fail to amaze me.”

About Carol in PBB

She was among the housemates of the “Double Up” edition in 2009. In this batch, Melai Cantiveros was the big winner who ended up marrying Jason Francisco, who was also a housemate of this edition. Melai and Jason’s wedding was in 2013 and fast forward to the present time, they now have two daughters.

Batay was the 6th housemate to be evicted from the PBB house and if there’s something people remember most about her, she was the one who cried a lot.

After her PBB stint, she became an events host, Chinese interpreter, and language instructor.
