PH Politicians Extend Prayers for Doc Willie Ong amid Fight Against Sarcoma
DOC WILLIE ONG – The doctor who is now fighting against sarcoma cancer thanked the politicians who reached out to him.
Millions of people follow Doc Willie on social media. He is known for his videos that give health tips and advices to the people in dealing and preventing many health conditions. He and his wife, Dra. Liza Ramoso-Ong, are in their pursuit to extend their knowledge about health for decades now.
Thus, when Doc Willie Ong announced that he has a cancer, it came as a big, sad surprise for countless people. His sarcoma was found “deeply hidden” behind his heart, in front of his spine and it is blocking his esophagus.
According to Doc Willie, more than a year ago, he started to experience difficulty in breathing and swallowing. He regarded it as part of aging. However, he also experienced pain which went severe.
Doc Willie even rated the pain he felt as 10/10. According to him, it kept him and Doc Liza from sleeping the whole night. His doctors said that his sarcoma cannot be operated as there are too many blood vessels attached to the mass.
In a recent vlog, Doc Willie Ong shared that he recently had a vision of his late mother. She was trying to get him and he saw himself as a 3-year-old boy in the crib. However, there are those that grab his feet.
Doc Willie stressed that his family wants him to live and still needs him. He also has his desire for the Philippines. In his recent vlog, he expressed his prayer for wisdom for President Bongbong Marcos.
The cardiologist stressed that everyone, including the president, has a choice. He can do it “the left way, the right way, the middle way, and his choice”. However, his choice affects millions of people.
Doc Willie Ong also mentioned and thanked the politicians who reached out to him. He thanked Senator Imee Marcos whom he chatted for a long time and he also expressed his gratitude to Sen. Bong Go and former Sen. Bam Aquino.
“Yesterday, I talked with DND Secretary Gibo Teodoro, my classmate for 12 years from grade school to high school, wishing me well,” he said.
In his vlog, Doc Willie also revealed that he has talked to Department of Interior and Local Government or DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos as well. According to him, there was no politics in their conversation.
“And I had a very, very nice conversation with Secretary Benhur Abalos which I would like to share one day. No politics, no nothing. He was just so worried,” the cardiologist said.
In a recent interview with Jessica Soho, Doc Willie Ong revealed the prognosis of his cancer. He also talked about his experience on its symptoms as well as the kind of health care he gets in Singapore.
