Guo is also regarded by the lawmakers as Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national who entered the country in 2003. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed that the fingerprints of the former Mayor and the Chinese national matched.

Following the arrest in Indonesia, Guo was immediately turned over to the Philippine authorities. She was brought back to the country and was placed under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Alice Guo was initially detained in the custodial room previously occupied by former Senator Leila de Lima. Recently, upon the order of the Pasig Regional Trial Court, the former Mayor was transferred to Pasig City Jail.

However, instead of being immediately placed in a detention cell with 44 inmates, former Mayor Alice Guo was placed in a cell where three (3) inmates suffering from tuberculosis are isolated. Based on a report on GMA News, the decision came after her x-ray result showed a possible lung infection.

According to Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Joseph Bustinera in an interview with dzBB, the doctor said that those inmates who were isolated are being treated for one month already. Guo will be placed with them to protect the general population.

Based on the report, the former Mayor will undergo a sputum test or saliva test to determine if she is positive or negative for TB. Once the result turns out negative, she will be moved to the detention facility with 44 inmates.

Amid the accusations, Guo continuously asserts that she is a Filipino. She has attended both the hearings set by the Senate and the House of Representatives. Today, she was escorted by the PNP for the Senate hearing on illegal POGOs.
