Carlos Yulo on Talking Back to Parents: “Inamin ko sa sarili ko na nagkamali ako, kinarma na ‘ko”

During Toni Talks Interview, Carlos Yulo Spoke on Family Issues

Carlos Yulo revealed admitting to himself that he was wrong when he talked back to his parents and believes he had his karma.

The success of Carlos in the 2024 Olympics held in Paris, France brought so much pride and honor to the Philippines and the Filipino people. Together with the bronze medal wins of boxers Neshty Petecio and Aira Villegas, his double gold win in the Olympics made the country the best-performing Southeast Asian nation in the Olympics.

The Philippine government and several private entities gave Carlos Yulo multi-million cash rewards and gifts to show their appreciation of his double gold win in the Olympics. He got multi-million cash rewards as well as two (2) brand new cars and at least four (4) new residential properties.

However, not only the success of Caloy sparked headlines following his gold victory in Paris, Olympics’ men’s floor exercise and vault event. Many people also feasted on his family issues.

It is now known to the public that Carlos Yulo and Angelica Yulo, his mother, had a rift due to money issues. Caloy also claimed that his mother is against his relationship with his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose.

Chloe is a content creator who grew up in Australia. Caloy defended her from the accusations that she’s financially-dependent on him and her travels are funded by his money. He stressed that his girlfriend has his own source of income and money.

Carlos Yulo only spoke once to the public about his family issues when he presented his side to defend his girlfriend. Recently, during his interview for Toni Talks, the Paris, Olympics double gold Medalist explained why he’s quiet about the issues.

Caloy stressed that his family issues are too personal to be talked about in the public. Speaking to Toni Gonzaga, he also admitted that he realized that he was wrong for talking back to his parents.

During the interview, Carlos Yulo expressed that he has forgiven his family for their issues. According to him, he already had his share of karma for his mistake when he talked back to his parents. He stressed that he was emotional then and he wanted to defend himself and his relationship with Chloe.

“Napatawad ko sila. Inamin ko sa sarili ko na nagkamali ako, kinarma na ‘ko kasi mali nga naman na sagutin ko sila ng ganun, siyempre emosyonal ka na po eh, gusto mong ipaglaban ang sarili mo and ‘yung relationship niyo,” Carlos said.

Carlos Yulo stressed that he knows his mistake and he has asked God for forgiveness. During the interview, he expressed that he will focus on himself and his relationship with Chloe San Jose.

During the interview, the couple shared their love story. Chloe San Jose also revealed that she had family problems before and she moved out from their family home.
