A female netizen shared her frustration after a heated encounter with a jeepney driver, who allegedly insulted her during a traffic altercation.
Recently, Ycoh H. Ong, a Facebook user, shared a photo of a jeepney driver who allegedly harassed them during a stressful situation along the road. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In her post, Ong described how she and her passengers were harassed by the jeepney driver, who had the plate number DWZ 784. She shared that she was driving home to Pulo, Balagtas, after leaving a hypermarket in the area.
Her car had stalled twice, causing her to drive slowly with her hazard lights on to avoid breaking down completely before reaching home.
While navigating the road near the Balagtas rotonda, the jeepney driver allegedly pulled up beside her vehicle and demanded that she turn off her hazard lights. Ong explained that her car was experiencing engine trouble, which was why her hazard lights were on.
Instead of understanding, the driver reportedly called her “stupid” and “dumb,” telling her to pull over.
Ong was shocked by the driver’s rude remarks, especially since the hazard lights clearly indicated an emergency situation. She expressed her disbelief at the driver’s behavior, saying he should question himself before insulting others.
The female netizen also added that he should review the proper road signs and driving rules before making such offensive comments. The incident left Ong dismayed, and she is now seeking advice on where to file a complaint against the driver’s inappropriate behavior.
