Actor Gabby Concepcion Speaks on Considerations in Doing Films
GABBY CONCEPCION – The former matinee idol revealed why he has turned down many Gabby-Sharon movie offers.
The Philippine showbiz industry is filled with a lot of handsome actors but the stars agree that not everyone gets to stay long in the field. Gabby is one of those handsome and brilliant actors who managed to remain in the entertainment industry.
The most popular team-up of Gabby Concepcion was his loveteam with Sharon Cuneta, his Megastar ex-wife with whom he has a daughter, KC Concepcion. Their on-screen tandem is popularly called “ShaGab” by their fans and supporters.
Sharon and Gabby did a lot of films together and those were movies that gathered the crowd in cinemas. Their on-screen tandem is one of the most popular in the showbiz industry — plus the fact that their on-screen tandem turned into a real-life relationship.

Based on an article on Pep, Gabby Concecpion also revealed that he is doing a show with Sharon Cuneta which is like the Dear Heart. According to him, it is reserved for another time. He also revealed the reason why he has turned down several Gabby-Sharon movie offers:
“Ang importante lang, story. Kaya hindi matuluy-tuloy, I’ll be honest with you guys, I’m very particular with the story,” he said.
Gabby Concepcion stressed that it is important for him that the story is beautiful that when the people knows it, they feel good. Based on the article, the actor stressed that he really wants a different story in a movie with Sharon Cuneta.
“Marami na akong tinanggihan na script ng mga producers for a Gabby-Sharon movie, because nakita ko… ako, ha? Nakita ko na yung pattern niya is the same,” he said.
