Sen. Bong Go Hopes for Speedy Recovery of Doc Willie Ong
BONG GO – The Senator sent a message for Doc Willie Ong expressing his hope for his speedy recovery in his fight against cancer.
Countless people were left shocked and saddened when Doc Willie Ong announced that he has a cancer. He was diagnosed with sarcoma and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
According to Doc Willie, he may have five (5) chemotherapy sessions and he has just finished his first chemo session. Cancerous lump was found behind the heart of the doctor, in front of his spine.
Doc Willie is vocal that sarcoma is one of the hardest types of cancer to treat. His doctors said that a surgery cannot be performed on him as there are too many blood vessels attached to the lump.
Doc Willie Ong revealed that the initial symptoms he felt were difficulties in breathing and swallowing. According to the doctor, he thought that those were just signs of aging until he felt some back pain that increased in intensity over time.
The celebrity doctor is being treated abroad. He is taken cared of by his family — his wife, Dra. Anna Liza Ramoso-Ong, and their children.
Previously, Doc Willie Ong revealed that he went critical due to “neutropenic sepsis”. His blood pressure level dropped and his White Blood Cell (WBC) count also fell to zero. Even his doctors were surprised how he made it to recover.
Countless people expressed their concerns and prayers for the recovery of Doc Willie. One of them is former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno who was Doc Willie’s running-mate during the 2022 Elections. Isko Moreno called Doc Willie and they talked.
Recently, Senator Bong Go also sent a message for Doc Willie Ong expressing his hope for the doctor’s speedy recovery. He told the doctor to keep his faith strong and to remain positive.
Sen. Bong Go also told Doc Willie that many people have learned from his medical advices and many people are rooting for his recovery. He expressed the people’s confidence that Doc Willie will make it through:
“Alam po namin kung gaano kayo ka tapang at dedikado sa inyo serbisyo sa bayan. Malaki ang tiwala ko na malalampasan ninyo ang hamong ito. Ang inyong malasakit at gabay ay tunay na mahalaga para sa lahat. Dasal lang po tayo.
Sen. Bong Go told Doc Willie Ong that the Filipino people is with him in his fight against cancer. He told the doctor through a video that we are hopeful for his speedy recovery.
“Get well soon, Dr. Willie Ong. Looking forward pa po ako sa part 2 ng ating mga interviews. Maraming salamat,” he said.
Doc Willie Ong is being treated in Singapore and Isko Moreno has visited him in the hospital.
