Is James Reid open to working with his ex-girlfriend?
JAMES REID – The actor will be making an acting comeback and here’s what he said when asked about working with Nadine Lustre.
For a while, actor James Reid has been busy in putting up his music production company and making music. This is after many years that he dedicated himself to acting. He was paired with Nadine Lustre, who eventually became his girlfriend in real life but after their split, he stepped out of the limelight.
During their time, their love team was one of the biggest but in life, nothing lasts forever. They separated and as of the present time, they are both in a relationship already with other people. Lustre’s boyfriend now is a businessman Christophe Bariou while James’ current is Issa Pressman.
After years of not acting, Reid is finally coming back, however, he made it clear not to be on any love team anymore. In an interview with Ogie Diaz, he was asked about working with his ex-girlfriend. Right there and then, he gave his answer and the answer was no. He accordingly won’t accept any project with her anymore and this is something he would want to do to respect his girlfriend.
“At the time, I felt, like, being in a loveteam, I felt like I was losing my identity,” he said which he thought was something everyone goes through.
It’s been years already since she and Lustre have broken up but up until now, he can still feel the support of their fans which he is grateful for. He felt even when he transitioned from acting to music-making. However, as mentioned, he is not anymore interested in working with her and in being in a love team in general.
He said, “I don’t think that’s happening.”
Reid added referring to being in a love team, “I don’t think I’d ever do that again. But acting, definitely.”
