Roque Accuses House Quad Committee of “Power Tripping”
House Quad Committee Representative Robert Ace Barbers dared Harry Roque to be man enough to speak the criticisms in front of them.
The House Sergeant-at-Arms are looking for Harry Roque for four (4) days now but they have yet to locate the former presidential spokesperson. There is a pending detention order against him but the staff at his law firm in Makati refused to receive it.
Roque is being questioned about his alleged involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in Porac, Pampanga. The authorities found a letter of Roque at the raided illegal POGO hub in Porac.
The former presidential spokesperson is accused of being the head of the legal counsel of the raided Lucky South 99. He denied the allegations. Previously, Roque dared to reveal the POGO protectors at the Senate hearing but he did not realize it.
The House Quad Committee cited Harry Roque in contempt for his failure to submit the documents. There is a detention order that he will be detained at the premises of the House of Representatives in Quezon City until he submits the documents that the Quad Comm requires.
However, the authorities has yet to locate Roque. Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies are exerting all efforts to locate him to serve the detention order.
Recently, Harry Roque accused the House Quad Committee of allegedly doing “power tripping”. According to him, the committee allegedly continues to destroy the Dutertes and it is not right.
House Quad Rep. Robert Ace Barbers reracted to the accusation of Harry Roque against the committee. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, he dared the lawyer to be man enough to speak his criticisms in front of them.
“Maraming sinasabi itong si Atty. Harry Roque sa likod ng Quad Comm… Sabihin mo sa harapan namin ‘yan… Magpakalalaki ka! Humarap ka rito sa amin. Hindi ‘yung nakatalikod ka parati sa Quad, doon ka nagsasalita,” Barbers said.
Based on the report, the House Quad Representative further stressed that the documents that they are asking from Roque is related to the discussion of the illegal POGO operations. He believes that the former presidential Spokesman is still in the country.
“Kasi ‘yung BID mayroon namang lookout bulletin sa kanya. We would know kung umalis siya,” Barbers said.
