Former Mayor Isko Moreno Sad about Cancer Diagnosis of Doc Willie Ong
ISKO MORENO – The former Manila Mayor revealed that he had a conversation with Doc Willie Ong who recently announced that he is battling cancer.
One of the most popular doctors in the Philippines is Doctor Willie Ong or more popularly called “Doc Willie”. Aside from being a doctor, he is also a content creator on social media platforms and YouTube as well as a former vice presidential candidates in the Philippines.
Doc Willie ran for vice president in 2022 Elections. He was the running-mate of former Manila Isko Moreno who took the presidential race. However, both Moreno and Ong lost the previous national election.
As a content creator, Doc Willie Ong usually posts videos about health. He would share tips in avoiding certain health conditions or addressing the early stages of some diseases. Millions of people follow Ong on social media. Thus, recently, countless people were left shocked and sad by his revelation.
Doc Willie Ong revealed that he has cancer. According to the doctor-content creator, he was diagnosed with sarcoma but his video’s posting was delayed because of the challenging chemotherapy session that he’s going through.
According to Doc Willie, a 16 x 13 x 12 centimeter sarcoma was found by the doctors in his abdomen. It is located behind his heart and in front of his spine. The doctor claimed that the initial symptoms he felt were breathing and swallong difficulties as well as fatigue. It was in April 2023 when he started feeling the symptoms.
In October last year, the doctor started experiencing back pain and the pain became more severe sometime in August. He even rated the pain as 10 out of 10 thus, he was admitted to the hospital and he was diagnosed with sarcoma.
Following the announcement of Doc Willie Ong, countless messages of love, encouragement, and prayers flooded for him on social media. One of those people who reached out to the doctor is former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Based on a report on Pep, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno revealed that he called Doc Willie Ong. According to the former Mayor, he told the celebrity doctor to be strong and that God has mercy.
“Nalulungkot ako at the same time hoping for his quick recovery. Sabi ko maraming nagmamahal sa kanya at umaasa sa mga gabay at payo niya sa kalusugan na mga kababayan natin,” Moreno said.
Based on the report, aside from Doc Willie Ong, former Mayor Manila Isko Moreno was also able to talk to his wife, Dra. Anna Liza Ramoso-Ong.
