Rufa Mae Quinto & Denise Laurel Team Up for TikTok Moment
RUFA MAE QUINTO – Kapuso stars Rufa Mae Quinto and Denise Laurel teamed up for a fun TikTok moment.
Rufa Mae Quinto, a well-known Filipino actress, TV host, and comedian, rose to fame with her performances in the popular films “Booba” and “Boobita Rose.” Her entertainment career took off after she became part of “That’s Entertainment” in 1996.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rufa Mae and her family—her Filipino-American husband Trevor Magallanes, and their daughter Athena Alexandria Magallanes—ended up staying in San Francisco longer than expected due to lockdowns during their visit to the US.
By 2022, Rufa Mae Quinto joined the Sparkle Artist Center and made her return to the Philippines in 2023. She’s now one of the guest judge of ‘It’s Showtime’ Kalokalike segment.
In a surprising revelation by the “Unkabogable” star Vice Ganda, it was mentioned that Rufa Mae no longer wanted to leave after her guest appearance on the noontime show. Vice humorously shared this during an episode on Friday, September 6, even adding that Rufa wanted to come to the show on Sundays, despite there being no taping on that day.

Rufa Mae Quinto recently made a fun cameo on Denise Laurel’s TikTok. In the video shared on Denise’s account, the two are seen playfully acting as if they’re fighting, but then suddenly break into a dance when the music plays.
Denise captioned the post with, “SHES ICONIC.”
Both Rufa and Denise appeared as judges for “Kalokalike Face 4” on Friday’s episode of “It’s Showtime.”

Back in April, Rufa Mae hinted at a return to the big screen for a “Booba” movie sequel. “Babalik na po ako sa big screen movies ng todong todo na to!” she announced.
She’s also set to star in an upcoming film titled “Mujigae” alongside South Korean actor Kim Ji Soo, Alexa Ilacad, and others.
Meanwhile, Denise will be featured in the movie “Ang Prinsesa ng City Jail,” starring Sofia Pablo, Beauty Gonzalez, and more.
