Sandro Muhlach Issue – Allegedly, GMA writers were told not to get close to artists following the issue involving the Sparkle artist.
The world of showbiz was shocked by Sandro’s revelation. Allegedly, he was harassed by GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz after the GMA Gala 2024. This issue even had a Senate hearing in which the 23-year-old actor related the details of what happened to him.
This also prompted singer-actor Gerald Santos, who started his career in the GMA, to reveal what allegedly happened to him 19 years ago. He was also invited to the Senate hearing where he revealed the identity of his alleged abuser, musical director Danny Tan.
Following this issue, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz said in a recent episode of his Showbiz Update vlog that based on what he heard, the GMA management allegedly warned their writers not to have a close bond with artists.
“Eto nabalitaan ko lang gaano katotoo na ang mga headwriters at mga writers daw ay something like pinagbabawalan nang makipag-close sa mga artista, sa GMA daw,” Ogie said.
He added that if this is true, may be because the network is just reminding the production staff to be careful of being close with artists to avoid issues.
Ogie’s co-host Mama Loi asked him if this would be an effective way to prevent the unexpected incident. The talent manager-vlogger said that issues really happen at parties and events like balls and galas.
Ogie mentioned that even in Star Magic Ball of ABS-CBN, some issues surfaced. He even recalled the incident that happened between actors Matteo Guidicelli and Coco Martin. Reportedly, a fight happened between them because of actress Maja Salvador.
