Christmas Wish of Father of Pinoy Christmas Songs Jose Mari Chan
JOSE MARI CHAN – Father of Pinoy Christmas tunes Jose Mari Chan revealed his Christmas wish.
When we hear the iconic Jose Mari Chan’s song “Christmas in Our Hearts,” it’s a clear sign that the ‘BER’ months have begun. In an earlier interview with GMANetwork.com, Mr. Chan shared his thoughts on why Christmas celebrations in the Philippines are truly unmatched.
He said, “Well because it is essentially centered around the family… So, we grew up spending Christmas with our family unlike in the U.S. for example they don’t say Merry Christmas they say Happy Holidays. And they talk to Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
This BER month, it seems Christmas came early on ‘It’s Showtime’ as Jose Mari Chan paid a visit. The Filipino singer-songwriter delivered a heartwarming performance, singing some of his Christmas songs like “A Perfect Christmas” and “Christmas In Our Hearts.”
Afterward, the well-known singer expressed his happiness that his Christmas songs bring joy to Filipinos.
“I feel blessed talaga that because of my Christmas songs, it has given joy to our countrymen. It’s a blessing to me. Thank you, Lord,” he shared.

Chan also mentioned that “A Perfect Christmas” and “A Christmas Song For You,” which he wrote for his wife, are his favorite Christmas songs that he has written.
It’s Showtime host Ogie Alcasid also asked Jose Mari Chan what his Christmas wish was.
He said, “My Christmas wish is good health for everyone. Good health for our country, prosperity. It is my dream that one day, every single Filipino will be educated. That’s my wish, that’s my dream, and let’s all help to make that come true. The spirit of Christmas is giving and sharing. So let’s share our blessings with those in need.”
