Former mayor of Bamban Alice Guo shows happy disposition amid the buzz and after her arrest in Indonesia.
Philippine authorities on Thursday finally took custody of Alice Guo in Jakarta. This was a day after she was seized by Indonesian authorities putting an end to the weeks-long manhunt for the dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor.
Guo was arrested in Indonesia and to accompany her as he returns to the Philippines, Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos flew there with PNP Chief Police General Rommel Marbil.
Amid the grueling situation and her arrest, the dismissed mayor seemed to have remained in high spirits as she was always smiling for photos and was even seen winking at a camera.
As much as we all know, she is facing a human trafficking complaint related to the raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator hub in Bamban and 87 counts of money laundering complaint which was filed before the Department of Justice.
The dismissed mayor is also facing a deportation case from the Bureau of Immigration. A Tarlac court also released an arrest warrant for her for violating the Section 3(e) and 3(h) of Republic Act 3019, or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

According to the report of John Consulta, the dismissed mayor seems to be in a happy disposition despite her arrest but was emotional when she faced the Indonesian media. Consulta expressed that her actions were surprising as being happy is the least expected emotion from the arrested embattled ex-mayor who is believed to be the Chinese national Guo Hua Ping.
They expected for her to be elusive but it turned out she was responsive and was even in full smile at certain points. It appears she is determined to put up a happy front based on Consulta’s report in 24 Oras.
