Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo turned over to PH officials already.
Indonesian authorities on arrested Alice Guo and according to the authorities, the former mayor will returning to PH on Thursday night.
Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo will be brought back to the Philippines on Thursday night and this is according to Senator Raffy Tulfo. Guo was arrested in Indonesia and according to the head of the Committee on Public Services in the Senate, she will be arriving around 6:18 p.m. via chartered flight RP-C6188 from Jakarta.
Guo will be accompanied by Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Philippine National Police chief Police General Marbil.
“The SILG and CPNP are scheduled to meet with Indonesian officials to ensure proper coordination. Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, Her Excellency Gina Jamoralin, has been invited to participate in the discussions,” the PNP said.
A team from Department of Justice was also in Indonesia to process the deportation of Guo.
Once Guo returns to the Philippines, the initial step is to take her to Camp Crame to undergo a medical examination. This is to ensure that she is in good condition before she will be turned over to the Senate where she has an existing warrant.
The former mayor, believed to be the Chinese national Guo Hua Ping, was nabbed by Indonesian authorities in Tangerang City early Wednesday morning. There’s an investigation regarding her true identity as a supposed Chinese citizen. She is also allegedly linked to illegal activities of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) hub in Bamban.
Despite being on immigration’s lookout bulletin, she was still able to escape with her supposed siblings Wesley and Shiela and Cassandra Ong. They entered Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 18 and on July 21, Guo landed in Singapore. On August 18, she left SG for Batam, Indonesia.
Shiela Guo and Cassandra Ong were arrested in Batam.
Currently, the former mayor is facing several complaints which include human trafficking and money laundering.
