Mark Andrew Yulo, Carlos Yulo’s Father, Calls Nesthy Petecio “Idol”
Carlos Yulo’s father, Mark Andrew Yulo, expressed his appreciation to the love of Olympic bronze medalist Nesthy Petecio for her family.
The double gold win of Carlos Yulo in the 2024 Paris Olympics marked the Philippines’ first time to hit a double gold win in the sports event which is the biggest of its kind in the world. PH sent 22 athletes in the said event.
The Philippines finished its 2024 Olympics journey on the 37th spot — its best performance in the Olympics so far. It bagged four (4) Olympic medals including the two (2) gold medals won by Caloy in men’s floor exercise and vault event and the Olympic bronze medals won by Pinay boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas.
A grand heroes’ welcome was prepared for the athletes who represented the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Even the non-medalist received cash rewards from the Office of the President.
Carlos Yulo’s cash rewards, incentives, and gifts have reached more than P100 million now. He got P20 million from the Office of the President, Php 20 million from the Philippine Sports Commission, and Php 14 million from the House of Representatives among the cash awards.
Chery Auto also gave Carlos his brand new Tiggo 7 Pro SUV along with several other privileges for vehicle maintenance like a lifetime of free oil change service. Toyota also gifted the Olympic double gold medalist with his own brand new Land Cruiser Prado while Megaworld gave him a three-bedroom condo unit.
However, amid the huge success of Carlos Yulo and the multi-million rewards he got from his Olympic wins, it was unveiled to the public that he has a rift with his mother over money issues and his girlfriend, Chloe.
It is not clear if Caloy has already met his family since he arrived in the Philippines. Carlos Yulo’s father, Mark Andrew, joined the crowd during the grand heroes’ parade organized by the LGU of Manila for the athletes.
Amid the public questions on the status between Caloy and his family now, the social media post of Carlos Yulo’s father expressing his appreciation of Olympic bronze medalist Nesthy Petecio’s love for her family did not skip the public’s eye.
Carlos Yulo’s father shared a photo highlighting the statement of Nesthy Petecio expressing she does not want her family to suffer and she is willing to help them. According to her, she often forgets herself as she wanted to see that her family is okay.
